Llyn Gwnant Barns a is a small private lakeside campsite with a large stone barn located at the foot of Snowden between Betws-y-Coed and Bedgellert on the A498.
There is no phone signal at the barn so your sat navs may not work to get you to the barn, so it might be worth bringing a map book. A number of sat navs and on-line post code locators (such as mulitimap.com and streetmap.co.uk) give incorrect locations for this postcode LL554NW and place the campsite at the wrong end of the lake! The Ordinance Survey map shows the campsite correctly at the north end of the lake. Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the barns and park and be aware the A498 is quite narrow in places so travelling may take a little longer than you think.
